Program Overview

This program aims to empower three individuals living with HIV and experiencing excess visceral abdominal fat “hard belly” with the skills to share their personal health narratives from diagnosis, symptoms, challenges, and triumphs. Through professional training and guided storytelling, participants will develop public speaking skills and engage with communities to raise awareness.

Who Should Apply

We are looking for individuals who identify with the following criteria:

  • Living with HIV

  • Living with excess visceral abdominal fat “hard belly” (bloating, difficulty bending, shortness of breath, sleep apnea)

Participant Commitments

  • Participate in scheduled training sessions (in-person or virtual)

  • Engage constructively with peers and facilitators

  • Share my lived experience, including symptoms and management of Excess Visceral Abdominal Fat.

  • Present my personal story publicly at the designated event

  • Maintain confidentiality and respect for fellow participants
